Hoarding/ Billboard Designs

Chemmanur Opticals - one of the largest optical ( Eye Care) showroom in Kerala. The idea was simple - get people interested. They have a wide array of International brands of frames, lenses, sunglasses, watches, perfumes and contact lenses.

This was the initial design option. We opted for the first option.

WAKE UP!!

How long can we be taken for a ride? Who do we address our concerns to? Do we really need people with no basic principles in life to govern us? Must we turn to qualified professionals to make our land worthy of living? What do we have in store for us 15 years from now?

I don’t really like to take names here, but – there is internal fighting in the ruling party, opposition is washing their dirty laundry in public, there are others fighting to be taken back into parties they once quit. And why are these guys doing all this – to serve us better?? The so called political leaders cannot run their own party, and how do we trust them to run our state. What is each politicians experience in administration? What is his basic qualification? What are his values? Are we eligible for a foreword on each politician before he stands for elections? Are politicians accountable? Have you noticed the unhygienic state of our health department and medical institutions? Have you seen the pathetic state of fire and rescue department and their equipments?

Today the judiciary is considered a joke. Every judgment by the respected courts is just blown off in the wind. The respected courts issued a ban on bandh and look at how the politicians have worked around the law of the land and invented the infamous hartals. A ban on smoking in public places was issued. Just walk into a police station and there you can find policemen smoking. Recently they issued a ban on protesting in public causing nuisance to motorist and others and some politicians called the judge a fool. Is this the so called great malayali culture? There are thugs and villains ruling us today. How do we seek liberation from this misery?

The media reports the shortfalls of the authorities and still they don’t care.

The vehicle population is increasing at an alarming rate and the politicians are considering a reduced width for the national highways from what the center proposes. Wonder if the rulers know what the traffic census will be in 5 years time and what will they do then. Will they do a complete turnaround on their policies then? In an emergency, how do they propose ambulances reach hospitals? Will they fly over??

There has been a lot of reports in the media on the sorry state of roads, and they fool us by dumping some stones mixed with bitumen, which hardly lasts a week.

The opposition is making a huge noise about one of their late leader being disrespected, where as the entire population of the state is being treated as dirt and they don’t care.

Doctors go on strike and the government cannot do anything about it.

Garbage is spilling over and the government does not have a clue about recycling. (They try and burn the heap, no sorting)

Political crime is on the rise and politicians blame one another and seek revenge.

Beggary is a crime and there are beggars at every junction, under the watchful eyes of policemen.

You get pulled over if you don’t wear a seat belt but you can see policemen speeding in their jeeps and guess what – no seat belts.

We are considered second class citizens and are left to work our way around, while the politicians enjoy the spoils of our toil.

Smart City????????? A joke.

Infrastructure is non existent – be it the case of hospitals, schools, colleges, sports facilities, roads, government offices, town planning, tourism, transportation, KSEB etc.

Religious intolerance is surely rising its head and fanatics are slowly taking over.

The list is endless. All I seek is a change but I don’t have a clue as to how that is going to happen. Today it is the left, tomorrow it will be the right, but as far as we are concerned, no matter who, we are abused left, right and center. While our neighboring states are surging ahead, achieving one milestone after other in avenues of development, we, in the name of false pride and personal benefits of a few, take a leap back into the labyrinth of primitive living.

The Gods own country is rotting and we are still proudly advertising how mesmerizing Kerala is. What the state of affairs will be for the next generation – we wonder? Today we are definitely headed for the black hole. Hope we can steer ourselves away from this and into the light.
